Viewing Certificate Errors and Failures

The Errors section of the Certificate Monitoring portal provides a centralized view of all monitors that are currently experiencing issues. This page helps you quickly identify and troubleshoot certificate-related problems across your infrastructure.

Understanding the Errors List

The Certificate Failures page displays all monitors with active errors or warnings in a sortable table. The Display Name column shows the friendly name you assigned to each monitor. The Host column displays the full connection string including protocol, hostname or IP address, port number, and any protocol-specific parameters like STARTTLS.

The Status column indicates the severity of issues detected. Errors shown in red require immediate attention, while warnings displayed in yellow or orange should be reviewed. Multiple issues may be present on a single monitor, indicated by the count (e.g., "3 Errors" or "1 Warning").

The Expires column shows certificate expiration status. Expired certificates are marked in red with "Expired!" while certificates approaching expiration show the number of days remaining, color-coded based on your profile's alert thresholds. Each monitor includes a Report link that opens the detailed certificate analysis.

Taking Action

From the errors page, click the Report link for detailed certificate information, use the refresh button for the latest status, or click Export Failures to generate a report of all current issues. Sort by expiration date or status to prioritize the most critical problems first.

The errors page consolidates failures across all monitored services regardless of protocol. Configure contact groups in the Contacts section to receive automatic alerts rather than relying solely on this page.
