What are Contacts?

The Contacts section of the Portal lets you configure various types of integrations to receive event notifications and alerts from the platform. Contacts can be grouped using Contact Groups, and then associated with monitoring services. Per-contact scheduling (Frequency) is being phased out — alerting options are now configured within each product (e.g., Certificate Monitoring alerting).

This allows you to receive notifications over a wide array of contact channels, and lets you customize how and when your team will receive notifications.

Contact Types

We currently support the following contact types:

  • Email: receive notifications in your inbox.
  • SMS: receive notifications on your mobile device.
  • Pushover: receive your notifications in your Pushover application.
  • PagerDuty: route your notifications through your existing dispatching logic.
  • Slack: receive notifications in your group messaging.
  • DataDog: receive events in your DataDog dashboard.
  • Discord: receive notifications in your group messaging.
  • Telegram: receive alerts via Telegram messaging.
  • Google Chat: receive notifications in your Google Chat spaces.
  • Microsoft Teams: receive notifications in your Teams channels.
  • Opsgenie: route your notifications through Opsgenie alert management.
  • Custom HTTP(s) endpoints.
  • AWS SNS: receive SNS notifications.
  • AWS CloudWatch: send alerts to an AWS CloudWatch Log Group.
