DMARC Record
Verifies the domain publishes a DMARC record at _dmarc.<domain>. DMARC ties SPF and DKIM together with an alignment policy and reporting addresses. Gmail and Yahoo now require DMARC for any sender shipping more than 5,000 messages per day.
Applies to: URIBL and URI hosts.
How It Works
We do a TXT lookup at _dmarc.<domain> and look for a record starting with v=DMARC1. The check passes when one is present, including monitor-only records (p=none).
Fails On
- No DMARC record at
_dmarc.<domain>.
Related Checks
- DMARC Record (Strict) - additionally requires an enforcing policy (
p=quarantineorp=reject).
