Viewing Graphs

Every connection has a historical view of its metrics. From the Postmaster Tools list, click the Stats link on a connection.

The graphs page​

At the top you choose a domain and a date range (last 7, 30, or 90 days). Both selectors update all of the charts at once.

The page shows the data Google has published for that domain over the window:

  • Message Volume (inbound and outbound message counts, full width across the top)
  • Spam Rate
  • Delivery Error Rate
  • Authentication Rates (SPF, DKIM, DMARC on one chart)
  • TLS Encryption Rates (inbound and outbound on one chart)

The Message Volume chart sits on top because it is the context for everything below it: a rate only matters relative to how many messages it is based on, and the volume explains the gaps you see on the rate charts (those are the days, or directions, with no traffic).

Reading the graphs​

  • Every domain in your connection appears in the selector, even ones with no data yet, so you can confirm a domain is connected before Google starts publishing.
  • Days where Google reported no data are left as gaps on the rate charts rather than dropping to zero, so a gap reads as "no data" instead of a failure. The Message Volume chart shows 0 on those days (zero messages is a real value).
  • The full date range is always shown, even if data only exists for part of it.

The history is back-filled (up to 90 days) the first time a connection imports, so the graphs are useful immediately.
