Opsgenie
Adding a Contact
Opsgenie alerts are configured using an API integration.
In Opsgenie
- Log in to your Opsgenie account at app.opsgenie.com.
- Go to Settings ➡️ Integration list.
- Click Add Integration and search for API.
- Select the API integration type.
- Give the integration a name (e.g., "Generator Labs"), and assign it to the appropriate team.
- Copy the API Key that is displayed.
- Click Save Integration.
In the Portal
Go to the Contacts ➡️ Manage ➡️ Contacts section of the Portal, and click the Add Contact button in the top right corner:
Select Opsgenie from the Contact Type drop-down, enter the API Key you copied in the API Key field, select a Frequency, and select one or more Contact Groups to associate with this new contact.
After clicking Add Contact, you'll receive a confirmation message with a confirmation link that you'll need to click on to confirm your contact.
If you don't receive the confirmation message for some reason, you can also click the Resend Auth option to resend the confirmation message. Once a contact is confirmed, it will be ready to use.
The Frequency setting only applies to RBL Monitoring and will be removed in a future update. Other products such as Certificate Monitoring have their own alerting options.
Opsgenie alerts include priority levels based on the severity of the event:
| Priority | Condition |
|---|---|
| P1 (Critical) | Certificate has expired |
| P2 (High) | Certificate errors detected, or hosts listed on RBLs |
| P3 (Medium) | Certificate is expiring soon |
| P5 (Informational) | All clear / resolved events |
Alerts are automatically closed in Opsgenie when the corresponding issue is resolved.
